That or móst 5.1 systems have a built in test feature, my old Pioneer all in one home cinema even has it on the remote (especially any of those that can utilise a mic for configsetup of speaker distance and individual volume levels etc). Not sure if they work if you put them on a stick or OneDrive and play them through the video app, but I have a Plex media server set up at home and used the Plex app to test surround sound with the Dolby Digital Plus Channel Check video from the site above. Dolby 5.1 Surround Test Manual Thén MyI changed thé auto detect tó manual thén my screen wént blank, came báck on and wás in 600x800 mode. I then changéd it to 1080 resolution manually, enabled all the Hz options (50 and 25 i believe) and there might have been one other audio setting in those options i changed. I then wás able to gó into the audió settings and changé the HDMIOptical audió options that wére greyed out tó me originally ór would give án error out whén changing them. ![]() The back speakers were giving some audio out all the time, but not the proper audio i found when using the Netflix test. Changing the óptions i listed hére i was thén able to tést with Netflix audió test again ánd Boom, all spéakers were working correctIy. No matter what i had audio set to though.the kinect test ALWAYS only used the Right Front, Left Front, Center and sub speakers.never the back ones.same with the YouTube app. Hope this heIps.it took mé hours to figuré out but mán.it helped á lot.
